Shojo shidare has deep maroon-red leaves that darkens as the new Spring foliage matures. There's a great 2-tone effect with green color down the center of the leaf lobe and sub-lobes.
It forms a cascading or weeping bushy tree that can get to 10 feet tall if grafted high and staked in its early years to accentuate the height.
This is a little known tree that is beuatiful. Can be a little more tender - but worth it!
