Selected in New Zealand, this deep purple red dissectum keeps its color well in sun and shade.
Spring color is a bright scarlet turning dark burgundy throught the Summer. Fall brings strong flaming scarlet tones.
Red Dragon is more dwarf in character than Crimson Queen making a 7 foot tall rounded mound when mature. It needs protection from winds and Summer drought but makes an excellent landscape, contianer or bonsai specimen.
Trees are tall grafted for maximum weeping effect and are currently 30-36" tall.
