Moonfire is an excellent deep purple red leaved plant. Colors last well through the summer without bronzing.  Fall colors are crimson.

A strong upright growing form of the red leaved Japanese maple (Acer palmatum f. atropurpureum). Reaches about 20 feet tall when mature and is a good ''rival'' to the ever popular ''Bloodgood''. Plants are ~12-18" tall.
