Inaba shidare parent tree is a red dissectum or laceleaf type. It has a deep purple red in spring and keep a deep color for a long time during the season.

Leaf tips can burn in full sun. Fall color is brilliant crimson. This is a more urpight growing style of dissectum. It does cascade, but is more upright in habit.
