Acer palmatum dissectum ''Ever Red'' is also known as "dissectum Nigrum''. New Spring growth has a characteristic fine silvery hair covering which makes the new growth appear grey. This soon fades revealing a rich deep red color leaf. Planting in full sun or part shade alters the length of color retention in Summer with shade lengthening the duration.
This is a vigorous tree with typical pendulous habit. Large, old specimens can reach 12 - 15 feet high and wide. Trees are ~20-26" tall.
