Beni tsukasa is one of my favorite trees! In spring, the small leaves are a bright orange-peachy-red when first emerging. Shades of pink and red with green undertones appear as the elaves mature. Some leaves are strongly veined through the lighter leaf colors. In summer leaves darken and a slight variegation may be present.
Has a willowy, slender branched structure (not cascading). Makes a medium sized tree up to 15 feet tall when mature but is usually smaller. A great plant for container growing or the smaller landscape. Plants are currently 12-18" tall.
