Beni kagami is a red leaf tree in the ''matsumurae'' group. Its name means ''red mirror''.

Has red to purplish-red leaves in Spring depending on location and amount of shade cover. There are more green undertones when grown in shade. Fall color is bright crimson.

Grows strongly making a spreading, medium-sized tree around 24 feet tall. Plants are currently 30-36" tall.
